Lol. Just got some new tires for the ER6. Feels good. With a new rear shock it would be pretty much perfect but I don't want to put any more money into this bike. I NEED an SV1K/Speed Triple/Z1000. I am seeing new 2014 Zs for $8K!!!!

Man did I laugh. Also, my Enfield has finally settled its leak into a managable dribble. Thank God, that seal was killing me.

YAY! though I would still fix it 100% before riding... bikes and oil dont mix.

PR4s. I didn't like em at first as I was used to my old BT 020s which were really snappy and light steering, but the more miles I put on them the more I like them. They dont steer as quick as the old Bridgestones but they hold a line way better and feel way more stable, which is actually nice.

Next bike though, I might do full on sport bike tires. Though I'm reading liter bikes as mild as the Street Triple chew right through them. Hmmm.

I think a 100% fix is out of the question on this particular bike...there has to be something wrong with the seat that seal sits in, because this is the third one since I bought it, and it has started leaking every time after 50-100 miles.

...you meant speed triple right? street triple is a 675

and yea, the Q3s i run...I only got like 9K out of a rear on a SV650. granted I ride hard, but still. oh well. they are the cheapest and as far as I can tell, the grippiest. So i'm fine with paying the extra for more sets

m... maybe a slightly thinker seal would help? but the seats are a good culprit too.

Most of my riding is commuting so sport touring hoops make the most sense for me.

And sorry it was 9K. Still though

http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2014-K…

And theres plenty well under the 12K they were hoping to get. Theres a lot of brand new 2012s and 2013s sitting around. Stupid Americans and our aversion to naked bikes.

Im OK with the previous gen one. There are deals to be had though.

I cant do a prev gen. I commute on my bike, and ABS has saved my ass twice already, so it will forever more be on my dailys.

track bikes or weekend toys? i dont really care. but my dailys/commuters will have it.

Unknown. I thought about adding a layer of black silicone gasket maker onto the next one, but we'll save that until it starts to leak a lot again.

Mmmm that is a good point. Damn, that kind of narrows the list for me too, though so far *knocks on wood* my commute hasn't been very treacherous, and my crashes early on were due to my stupidity + NYC; the former of which is not as much of an issue and the latter which is a complete non factor. I've only locked the brakes up once (with my wife on board!!!) and didn't lose it.

It is kind of weird that there are still bikes without it though. FZ 09 doesn't have it... brand new bike! CB1000R, those new naked Suzukis etc. Kind of lame, real no brainer.
